Tradfest Kilkenny Accommodation

Kilkenny Tradfest, is the very first festival of traditional Irish music in Kilkenny, Ireland.

The event is brought to you as part of the Gathering Ireland 2013 but hopefully it will become an annual feature in the Kilkenny festival calendar.

In its first year the Kilkenny Tradfest will bring the very best of traditional Irish musicians, singers and dancers as 

well as lots of family fun and entertainment.

Kilkenny Tradfest plans to become a showcase of top quality traditional Irish music, artists and entertainment.

The Festival also plans to be a centre of teaching, entertaining and inspiration for the next generation of traditional musician and dancer.

The Kilkenny Tradfest will help to keep the culture of wonderful traditional Irish music alive and well.

The festival will run throughout St. Patrick’s weekend (March 16th & 17th 2013). The full programme is available on the Tradfest Kilkenny website and venues will include some of Kilkenny’s unique heritage landmarks including Kilkenny Castle.

Kilkenny Tradfest will include everything from Sean Nós singing to Céilí dancing to free outdoor live traditional music events. There are also a trad trail around the city and free kids activities.

All of the outdoor events at Kilkenny Tradfest are free, which is great news!
