Croan Cottages in ‘Trotter’
We’re delighted that Croan Cottages has been included in the Belgian and Dutch Guidebook ‘Trotter – Ierland’.
The Trotter guides are very popular in Belgium and The Netherlands and we hope that our inclusion in the guide will attract more visitors from those countries to our cottages.

4 years after they first stayed with us at Croan (on their first weekend away together), Paul brought Lorraine away for a surprise weekend break at Croan Cottages last weekend.
Then he used the occasion to propose to her!

As it was a beautiful, crisp night we decided to do some bat detection.
With book and bat detector in hand we set about searching under the trees on the avenue and around the pond.
It took some time to attune our ears to the chips, ticks, plops and smacks which we could hear as the bats hunted for food high above us.
During the search we identified Common Pipistrelles, Soprano Pipistrelles, Leislers and Natterers....
