Wine Tasting in Kilkenny
Great fun for a Hen Party or a group of Friends, a Wine Tasting or Wine Appreciation class are one of the most popular activities at Croan Cottages.
Each wine Appreciation class generally runs for 1.5 – 2 hours and is more about learning how to evaluate and appreciate ANY wine, rather than learning about a particular grape of brand.
Everyone gets to take home wine and tasting skills and knowledge that they can use to impress their partners and even a sommelier in a restaurant!
Generally for a group of 20 or so people, we try 10 wines: sparkling, white, rose, red and port.
The final cost per person depends on the quality of the wines you would like us to use in the session and can be anything from Euro 25 – Euro 35 per person.
The wine appreciation and wine tasting classes do not need to take place at Croan. We can visit your accommodation elsewhere in Kilkenny to hold the class, assuming that there is a suitable room available.
